Days of Service

My Hometown initiative Days of Service brings volunteers and community members together to beautify homes and neighborhoods.

Days of Service are on the third Saturday of the month during the spring, summer, and fall months in West Valley City, Utah.

Church and community organizations provide volunteers to help with various projects inside and outside community members’ homes. Volunteers check in at 8 a.m. to begin their work. Typically, within two to three hours, the work projects are complete, leaving homeowners with a completed home improvement project and volunteers with the feeling of satisfaction that comes from giving their time and talents.

West Valley City provides dumpsters to dispose of debris, and volunteer organizations donate time and money for materials.

Each West Valley City Day of Service starts and ends with check-in and check-out at the neighborhood’s community resource Center (CRC).
